Two days of language basics and hands-on cultural immersion. No preparation needed — just show up with a notebook and curiosity.
Course Overview
The Weekend Course is built for busy travelers who can only commit to Saturday and Sunday. In just two days, you'll pick up the Japanese you actually need — ordering at a restaurant, introducing yourself, navigating a convenience store — without sitting through a week of classes.
And here's the difference: half of each day is a real cultural experience. Not a guided tour — an immersive workshop led by a professional instructor. Sushi making, shodo calligraphy, matcha ceremony. All included, no extra charge.
Combine the Weekend Course with our Friday Tour and you'll cover the same ground as a full 1-Week Course. Our Friday Tour ➡
Course Guidance
Both Saturday and Sunday follow the same structure. Meet at 9:00, finish the language session by 10:00, then dive straight into the cultural experience.
What to bring: Just a notebook and a pen. Everything else — materials, tools, ingredients, equipment — is provided by us. No preparation needed before the course.
Who Is This For?
You love Japanese culture — food, art, tradition — and want to experience it from the inside, not just as a spectator. This course puts you in the room with the experts.
You're in Japan for a week or two and can't commit to a full course — but you still want to pick up the basics. Ordering, greetings, convenience store Japanese. Two days is enough.
Activity Highlights
Each weekend features two workshops — one per day. Rotate through them across multiple weekends. Apart form those activities, Ramen Cooking Class, Manga Writing Experience, and more.
Learn the history of sushi — where it comes from, how it evolved, and what makes each type of neta (topping) unique. Then make your own rolls from scratch with a professional sushi chef.
All materials provided
Start from zero — brush technique, ink, posture, the meaning behind each stroke. Tell the instructor what kanji you want to write (a feeling, a word, your name's meaning) and they'll teach you exactly that. The paper you write on makes a perfect souvenir.
All materials provided
Discover the deep history and rituals of Japanese tea culture — why matcha is prepared the way it is, what each gesture means, and how to drink it properly. A slow, mindful experience that reveals a side of Japan most tourists never see.
All materials providedTwo experiences per weekend, zero extra cost. Saturday and Sunday each feature a different cultural workshop — so every weekend you attend, you get two new experiences. All included in the course fee, with no hidden charges.
