Learn Japanese. Travel like a local.
What we set out to build — a different way to meet Japan.
So many travelers come all the way to Japan, yet leave without ever touching what the country is really about. How many can walk into a spot the locals love and simply say, in Japanese, "that was delicious"? Speaking a country's language is a quiet form of respect for it. And a single exchange in someone's own words can turn into a connection — and a memory — that lasts a lifetime.
A real conversation with a local — the moment a trip becomes a connection.
Conventional language schools are tied to a fixed campus, and most ask for a minimum enrollment of a month or more. For someone passing through on a trip, that's an enormous barrier to ever getting started.
Studying head-down at a desk does almost nothing for you out in real life, or on the road. We believe language is, above all, a tool for connecting with people. So our curriculum puts communication first — practical Japanese learned through real conversations in markets, in cafés, and out in the city.
Not to teach Japanese —
but to connect Japan with the world.
Through language, we want travelers to truly know Japan's culture and customs — not as spectators, but from the inside.

Across Japan
As you travel, you meet new people in every place you stop, and brush up against culture and language that belong to that region alone — the way people speak in Osaka is worlds apart from Tokyo.
Around the world
By learning across several countries, you connect deeply with each one and build your own local places everywhere you go.
A world full of countries where you can say "tadaima" — I'm home.
Traveling around the world, Tai kept adding to the list of countries where he could say "tadaima" — I'm home. Connecting with locals showed him the food and the culture you can only reach that way, and he wanted to offer that same experience to the travelers who come to Japan. That's why he started this school. Off the clock, you'll find him with a camera, on the road.
